WIRRAL BRANCH QUARTER FORTNIGHT
28 September - 16 October 2006
(See also The Ringing World No. 4985 (November 10, 2006) p1086).

Elastic as ever, the Wirral Branch Quarter Peal ‘fortnight’ was stretched over seventeen days this year which itself could constitute a record! All 19 attempts proved successful, these being rung in 15 different towers, including the ‘extraterritorial’ Chester Cathedral. In all, 13 firsts of one kind or another were achieved, these including 4 ‘First QP’ and 4 ‘First inside’. So another successful QP event for the branch due, in no small part, to the organisers of the QPs but especially to all those supporting the event simply by taking part. Finally many congratulations to those scoring firsts.

Summary.
