WIRRAL BRANCH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 23RD JANUARY 1999 AT OXTON.

Minutes of AGM held 24th January 1998: were read, agreed and signed.
Statement of Accounts: for the year ending 31st December 1998, were presented and explained by the Treasurer (C J Eden) who suggested that the subs be increased to £5. This was proposed by A J Martin and seconded by R T J Tinkler. The Treasurer announced that, with the exception of one, all subs were paid in full and thanked those responsible for their efforts. He also added that new members should ensure that their subs are paid to him and only him.
Next Meeting: It was announced that this would be held at Eastham on Saturday 20th February. Usual arrangements to apply but no busimness meeting. S Hughes proposed that in future we abandon the business meeting at the monthly meeting, replacing this with announcements of future events. This was seconded in several places.
Guild A.G.M.: would be held 13th March in the South Branch.

The Programme for 1999: was then outlined.
Any Other Business:
1. The Treasurer outlined a database - information obtained from each tower captain as to the ability of each ringer in that tower. Information to be used to plan activities such as training programmes for the branch etc.
2. Mr Martin announced that the Guild is looking for a new Ringing Master and Press Officer. Any offers to Mr Martin.
