Instructions for viewing and playing the Bellringers' Hymn Music
If you cannot see the music score, follow these instructions:
Note: We plan to put more material on the website which uses this software (such as examples of various call changes), so we do recommend that you download it.
Open a new browser window (usually ctrl+n) NOW (duplicating this page) so you can read these instructions whilst carrying them out!
Click here to download the free software "Scorch".
Click the appropriate button to Select your type of computer - Windows (PC) or Mac (Macintosh).
Enter your email address in the box provided.
Click on 'Next' button.
If you are a Windows user:
On the next (new) page, click on "Get Scorch 2".
When dialogue box opens, select "Run from current location".
The download will take 4-5 minutes depending on modem speed.
When it asks if you want to "Install and run?", click yes, ignoring the error message.
If you are a Mac user:
Click on the location button appropriate to your geographical location.
Click the 'Download' button.
After the download completes, the installer package will be on your desktop (or wherever your downloads normally go). Double-click it to install and follow the instructions of the installer.
For both Windows and Mac users:
Go back to the Hymn page on the Wirral Branch Website.
Click on the "Refresh" button.
The music should appear! If it doesn't, you may have to exit your browser and restart it. If that doesn't work you may have to restart your computer.
Press the play button (single blue arrow), and adjust speed (using the slider - move it to the right to make it faster) as appropriate.
If you have any problems, please contact Wirral Branch Webmaster.
