| (The update of 08/09/04 revises the estimated weights based on a chart circulated via the Bell Historians discussion group and which contains estimated weights of bells from 20 to 60 inches diameter for Mears, Taylor and Warner bellfounders). | The first bell, which is hung dead in a metal frame on the church roof, is rung for services by means of an off-set, balanced clapper. The second bell, complete with canons, was formerly mounted on the roof and has heavy moulding wires. This bell is probably one of only a few single bells cast by Robert Edward Taylor who cast under his own name between 1853 and 1856, when he died aged just 26.
(See WIllaston CC Picture Gallery for pictures of the bells).
