West Kirby Band Social Event - Saturday 7th January 2006
West Kirby ringers and friends took part in a surprise major practice at St Bridgets in the afternoon, followed by Handbells, nibbles and alcohol (a most salubrious combination) back at The Bluebells. The evening then concluded with a very nice meal (and more alcohol) at The Ring o'Bells. See pictures below.
Footnote - as a matter of honour, all ringers were present and correct for duty at 9.15 the following morning for some remarkably well struck Sunday service ringing including Wells and London surprise minor and touches of Stedman and Grandsire triples.
